The company cites a "growing team and better instruments OSRS Gold For Sale", Jagex says it will not just be focused on sellers of gold and sources through RWT but as buyers. The aim is to limit the demand, as well as to limit the supply.
Jagex has announced that it will send "messages to those who we've identified as being involved within"RWT" within "the coming hours". "For anyone who was involved, we'd like to make clear that this is your sole and only warning," said the statement.
Other measures the developer will be looking at as punishments for RWT actions are scheduled to consist of wealth removal - basically getting rid of gains that are not legitimately earned from accounts of players on the server level. Also, possible bans.
RuneScape's PvP aspect, also known as"the Duel Arena, will also have more strict rules enforced. Jagex affirms that the mode "has been a trigger for this kind of toxic behavior" and that 38 percent in all suspensions for RWT activity up until now come from that aspect which the players play. The company says it has already amounted up to "thousands of bans every month".
So, the developer appears to be taking the nuclear choice, saying "we're considering in the future for phasing out through the Duel Arena out of RuneScape completely." In the meantime, it will implement "some short-term actions" to improve PvP "until our development teams are able to deliver an important update that completely replaces the Duel Arena next year."
They will also have a limit to the total amount GP or gold points and players will be able to stake matches in the Duel Arena. Participants will be allowed to wager "no more than 50m GP per duel cheap runescape 3 gold". Other measures haven't been detailed as yet.
