There's a clear appetite for RuneScape across iOS in addition toRuneScape gold Android. The company has applied for two trademarks in UK, one that reads "OSRS Gold" and another to "RS Gold" The filing stating that the company has registered the usage of the words as words. This should stop third-party websites from being able to claim that they sell RS Gold.
A quick Google search on either returns hundreds of websites, majority of them having one of the words in their URL, that offer currencies in RuneScape with real money. The announcement came on Wednesday, October 13, that Jagex was putting an end for "real-world trading". In a post on their blog "The RuneScape Team" explained that "gold that is purchased via RWT real world trading can cause problems in any online game with a exchangeable currency."
Jagex announces that it will start sending "messages to players that we've identified who are involved within RWT" within "the next few hours". "For anyone who has been involved, we want to be clear : this is your sole or only warning" they added.
The announcement also included the news regarding the games PvP mode, Duel Arena, would have sweeping changes, which included the tighter enforcement of game's code-of-conduct, in order to encourage more positive play. Jagex says the feature "has been a catalyst that has led to the toxic behavior".
