HBO is currently adapting The Last of Us with Chornobyl's Craig Mazin and The Last of Us co-creator Neil Druckmann at the helm of the production.
It's the character of Mandalorian Pedro Pascal will play Joel Miller and Game of Thrones actor Bella Ramsey is set to play Ellie Williams, two roles that carry a lot of baggage due to their emotional arcs and the important they are as characters to the fans.
The show is likely to follow the plot of the games pretty precisely, but it may have new additions which reportedly include flashbacks , and characters that were mentioned , but were not featured in the games. The show isn't set with a firm release date, but is likely to be released in 2023.
