With the prospect of realm consolidation on wow tbc classic gold the future in WoW TBC Classic Burning Crusade servers, many players are asking questions about the process of simplifying and enhancing the Classic experience.
Today, the Blizzard WoW TBC Classic producers today used WoW's forums to reply to one of the members of WoW's community council. WoW community council with an extensive post.
The initial post raised concerns and questions regarding a variety of topics, including servers with low populations which aren't being integrated and issues with balance between factions when merging, realm merging in Season of Mastery servers, and the possibility of two-week lock on characters as well as other issues.
WoW TBC Classic Producer Aggrend tried to provide the best answers could he can about the range of questions. The majority of his blog being an answer to the question of how Blizzard decided which servers would or could not be consolidated.
"There were a variety of factors that were considered when deciding to decide which servers were to be retired, however, we mostly relied on data about what we call the Daily Average World Population (DAW) which we monitor internal to the company," Aggrend said. "There was a threshold we considered and, if over some time, a realm fell below the DAW threshold then we added that realm in the server list that needed to consolidate."
Aggrend said that the forthcoming launch of Wrath of the Lich King Classic is expected to boost the number of players on servers in similar to what TBC did. Aggrend also suggested that there might be more character transfers for free in the future, however.
