In between is Old School RuneScape offering players the traditional 2006 experience and the short-lived DarkScape offering players a more PvP-based experience. The developer Jagex has teamed up with the board game developer Steamforged Games to release not only one, but two tabletop games over the course of 2022.
Steamforged Games' collaboration in partnership with Jagex is the latest in a series of collaborations bringing some of the most popular gaming franchises into a tabletop environment. The tabletop gaming company has also created board games inspired by series like Monster Hunter World and Dark Souls and has recently concluded a massively successful Kickstarter campaign for a Resident Evil 2 board game raising over 1 million GBP earlier in the year.
Now, the company has set its sights on Gielinor's world as well as RuneScape with plans to release the board game and a core RPG for tabletop games this year. The two RPG adaptations will feature many of the most well-known characters from RuneScape and places, allowing groups of up to five players to challenge classic quests taken from RuneScape and bring the adventure within The world of Gielinor to the home of Gielinor.
Players can create and upgrade equipment, interact with NPCs as well as take on several side quests which are based on traditional MMORPG old school rs gold.
