Madden 23 is set to release on August 19. The game's ratings will begin on Monday, July 18, allowing us to see the best players in the new game. There are plenty of stars in the NFL, but only a select few will join the Madden 99 Club. There are many candidates that can reach that club this year. So in this guide, we'll be going over predictions for who will be inducted into the 99 Club in Madden 23.
Trent Williams - OT
After his first career All-Pro season in 2021, San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams continued to rack up accolades, becoming the first offensive lineman ever in the Madden "99 Club." Despite being 33 years old, Williams continued his dominance with the 49ers in 2021, earning a 97.8 PFF grade, which was their highest grade ever given to a player. Trent Williams' spot in the 99 Club has already been confirmed, as the 49ers offensive lineman received word he would become a member earlier this summer. This is a historic accomplishment, as Williams is the first offensive lineman to receive the honors.
Aaron Rodgers - QB
Aaron Rodgers won his fourth MVP in 2022, the most in NFL history. Despite not being able to lead his team to a Super Bowl, Rodgers proved even at his age that he could be the best Quarterback in the NFL. He wasn't featured in the 99 club in Madden 22, but it's hard to picture the 99 club in Madden 23 without the MVP.
Aaron Donald - DT
Aaron Donald is no stranger to the 99 Club. He has owned a 99 OVR rating at launch for five straight years, beginning with Madden 18. There is nothing holding him back from making it six consecutive seasons. He was a 99 overall throughout Madden 22 and almost won his fourth DPOTY award this past season.
Cooper Kupp - WR
Cooper Kupp dominated the NFL in 2021, winning his first Super Bowl in 2022 with the Rams and the Super Bowl MVP. He was in contention for the MVP, ultimately winning the OPOTY award for the 21/22 season. He didn't hit 99 overall in Madden 22, but Kupp will undoubtedly start the new Madden year with a 99 rating.
TJ Watt - DE
TJ Watt featured in last year's 99 club for the first time, and in the 21/22 season, he dominated NFL offenses. Watt tied the NFL record for sacks in a single season held by Michael Strahan and ultimately won the AP DPOY last season. While the Steelers weren't able to make a run in the post-season, their defensive anchor will continue to thrive both in the next NFL season and for Steelers fans in Madden 23, likely as one of the 99-rated players.
