I loveOSRS GP this, but if we let our previous put off us doing this, then we'd be in a far worse place. I am convinced we will be showing it on livestream soon, so hopefully you can be reassured. From my standpoint, it's less about a fear of this Massacre or spaghetti code, and more that a potential Structure Rework has set us off from performing other jobs, but we're moving ahead for this one.
I look forward to rs3 con becoming fixed
You guys sure guaranteed to squeeze a lot in the last few months of this year. I'm hopeful that this is the turn in the ideal direction we've been awaiting. Lets hope we will get something fantastic out of it. We all know you CAN deliver quality updates. Merely to give context mod ash had to rewrite the majority of the building code simply to find moveable rooms working. Construction generally is really messy coding.
So from what I'm hearing its only. . Like having 10 years+ of college homework left undone and the workload is too unmotivating for folks to do. With ample communication I believe that is possible and that I actually would love to see that happen.
I say this mainly because the way houses are in our game is an excellent 2007 thing but its out of date now at a more fundamental basis, along with other MMOs just have more innovative manners at having houses. The skill should just be entirely redone with no hint of old school construction.
It is more like having 50 distinct piles of 10 years+ homework, and then choosing which of these piles to begin on first. Construction goes up against the new player experience, the player avatar and so many more, but it's definitely near the top of the pile. We have picked something for Structure that wouldn't get in the way of a future rework and would supplement it
Your concept for how to change Construction is very good, but I would stop short of making it a whole new skill. I'm not convinced that's what will be best for the participant base.
I don't actually think the cheap RuneScape gold player foundation would whine
