With PES now becoming the news of eFootball, you may wonder how it compares to FIFA 22.
Since Konami officially abandoned the name Pro Evolution Soccer, it made some other changes to the new title, including price, team, and new game engine. At the same time, FIFA 22 seems to have some minor adjustments rather than major overhauls compared to its predecessor.
Read on to find out the main difference between eFootball and EAs FIFA 22.
Price
One of Konami's more surprising moves is to make the new game free to play on all platforms, and it will be updated for free every year. Therefore, for any eFootball fan, you dont have to worry about saving money for the latest update, although you can purchase the model through the paid DLC, but the details have not been confirmed.
However, for FIFA 22, the standard version of the game is priced at 59.99 in the UK and US$59.99 in the US, and EA Play subscribers can enjoy a 10% discount if they pre-order. Nintendo fans will also be happy to note that the Switch version of the game is priced at 44.99/49.99 USD.
However, if you want to get more FIFA content and FIFA 22 Ultimate Team Coins, the FIFA 22 Ultimate version of Playstation and Xbox is priced at 89.99 GBP/89.99 USD, and the PC price is 79.99 GBP/99.99 USD. Unfortunately, it is not available on Nintendo Switch.
Where can I play?
eFootball can be played on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC, and will land on iOS and Android in the future. Konami has not yet commented on whether the game will land on Nintendo Switch.
FIFA 22 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The standard version of the game will also be available on Nintendo Switch.
EA Sports will also provide dual licensing discounts for the game, allowing users to upgrade their PS4 copy to PS5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S. However, it can only be used if you have booked the ultimate version of the game.
Which teams are there in each game?
Konami only snapped up a few teams at the time of its release. Big teams like Barcelona Football Club and Manchester United cooperated with eFootball. Check out the complete list below:
Barcelona
Juventus
Bayern Munich
Manchester United
Arsenal
Corinthians
Flamengo
Sao Paulo
River Plate
However, the FIFA 22 list is undoubtedly the best of the two, including almost all major league teams. However, several teams were absent, notably Juventus, Roma and Atlanta.
Gameplay
The most important factor that distinguishes the two games is the gameplay, but we don't yet know how FIFA 22 and eFootball are different in this regard.
What we do know is that Konami is turning to Unreal Engine, which should be very different from the Konami FOX engine previously used for PES games.
FIFA 22 looks closer to its roots and has similar gameplay to FIFA 21. In other words, EA Sports will adjust goalkeeper behavior, sprints and ball physics in the game, and introduce the advanced motion capture technology of the "HyperMotion" engine that will be used, which can better imitate the movements of real football players.
Ultimately, until we review the two games later this year, we will not be able to accurately determine the main differences. FIFA 22 will be released on October 1, 2021, and eFootball has been confirmed to arrive in the fall of 2021.
