Another edition features the Washington Wizards' Rui Hachiura. The edition will only be available in Japan. Luka Doncic and Candace Parker are among the players who will be the cover athletes in NBA 2K22.
The company today announced that Luka Doncic, a Dallas Mavericks player, and Candace Parker, WNBA star and Chicago Sky standout, will be among the players featured in the upcoming NBA 2K game release. To celebrate the NBA's coming 75th season, NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Dirk Nowitzki will also grace the cover of the NBA 75th Anniversary Edition (along with Durant). Parker will be the first WNBA player to grace the cover of NBA 2K's GameStop Exclusive Edition.
Durant was on the cover NBA 2K13, along with Blake Griffin (and Derrick Rose), in the past. Regarding Nowitzki and Doncic they're the first Mavericks to be featured on the cover of the game's storied history.
Nowitzki, Durant and Abdul-Jabbar All three made a post on Twitter to announce their spots on the NBA2K22's cover, with Abdul-Jabbar declaring it "a incredible experience" to be featured on the cover. Durant and Doncic both called being named the cover athletes a great honor, while Nowitzki cracked a joke in tweeting Buy NBA 2K MT Coins: "Not sure who these others are, but it's an enormous privilege to be on the cover of NBA2K22.
