Fortunately, WoW sport developer Jeremy Feasel affirmed the zombie invasion portion of the event will only be active for a few hours throughout the day rather than all theTBC Classic Gold time. I am actually a bit disappointed by that, honestly, because I think it'd be fun to see an all-out, 24/7 invasion which gamers have to attempt to contain--something similar to World of Warcraft's notorious Corrupted Blood event.
The Scourge Invasion is just 1 portion of Shadowlands' pre-launch event. Players can also venture to the arctic wastes of Northrend to battle bosses and earn powerful loot, and there's also a new story quest to try .
If you are a WoW subscriber, you can check all of this out now by following these steps to get the public test server. Otherwise, you can wait until the event inevitably starts sometime in the forthcoming months.
Since publishing our initial story, YouTuber and Reddit user'KokushiGG' has recently posted a new movie displaying Ray Traced Shadows from the zones in the growth. You'll find down the video below. Like yesterday's screenshots, we can see the difference in Shadows is quite minimal with the newest feature enabled. Allowing Ray Traced Shadows, however, does seem to greatly impact performance with FPS dropping from 120FPS to 60FPS in some cases.
Ray Traced Shadows in World of Warcraft Shadowlands have now been allowed on the match's Beta/PTR, and also the very first comparison shots have now surfaced on the internet.
Back in April of the year, Blizzard added Ray Traced Shadow options to the game's Alpha. Unfortunately, actual Ray Traced Shadows weren't enabled just yet and people from the Alpha were only able to view the new choices. According to the option's description, it"improves shadow quality together with ray tracing, which produces shadows with more natural softness, substantially increased precision, and out of other light sources"
Players in the alpha were able to pick one of the next Ray Traced Shadows choices:
Fast forward four weeks and we can now finally see how the new shadows seem in the forthcoming Shadowlands expansion. Earlier this week we already reported that the new NVIDIA Game Ready Driver added support for the brand new attribute in Shadowlands, and several Beta/PTR players have now shared several screenshots comparing Shadowlands with without the Ray Traced Shadows enabled.
As shared by Blizzard, the new alternative within Shadowlands uses DirectX Ray Tracing 1.1 (DXR 1.1) and a DXR 1.1-capable driver is required to utilize Ray Traced Shadows. We've contained the shared contrast screenshots down under. As can be observed inbuy WOW Classic Burning Crusade Gold these shots, and as might have been anticipated, the ramifications of Ray Traced Shadows are not that clear but do appear to be stronger in darker regions with low lighting.
