Turn yourself into a Rare
You can become a Void Wraith, a rare mob in World of Warcraft, because of a secret recently awakened by the Secret-Finding Discord. It's a very long series, ending in the ability to turn into a giant purple bad wraith, marked on gamers' maps as a rare creature with additional rewards. You're going to be hostile to both factions, and if you are able to kill several players before you are killed, you are going to reap a few rewards. Amusingly, players that kill you will obtain the same benefits as killing different rares, including money and azerite power for their neck bits.
You will see a Shard of Corruption in a number of the glowing purple cracks on the floor. Looting it offers you a quest to find 20 of them.
When you complete that quest, you're transformed into a Void Wraith immediately, with 4.6 million wellbeing and new skills. To make your rewards, you will need to kill ten players of faction without perishing.

A harmful impact, called Corrupted Blood, devoting tens of thousands of gamers, and left lower-leveled characters in an unavoidable death-loop. The effect, called a debuff, was a temporary illness, but one which could spread to other players if they stood close to one another, exactly like a true virus.
A week after the outbreak, it forced Blizzard to restart every WoW server to prevent it from spreading out of control.
