I have also found that devs throw inAnimal Crossing Bells a lot of pointless filler crap or else they inflate the difficulty of the game so that it takes longer since they know they will face backlash if it's too short. I really hate feeling like my time has been wasted.
I will happily spend $60 on a 8-10 hour game that's concise and doesn't waste my time.

You are correct though, the change is now very much a thing that is only good on event. In a perfect world Nintendo will be investing in fresh party content to where they're falling a brand new game (or even a port provided that it's not $60) every few months however. . That really doesn't happen.
On twitter I turned notifications for @Wario64 and @PS5Stockalerts which got me shut a couple times but that I had no luck, although others got it forNook Miles Ticket For Sale sure.
