Food Incorporation

Food is a vital need of human being. It provides energy, strength development, and, health, if properly consumed. Unfortunately, modern eating habits are rather far from healthy ones: the number of obese, and diabetic people, as well as those having problems with digestion system grows every day. This problem is not only a consequence of what and how people eat; it is also a consequence of how food animals are treated. Most of the human diet consists of ingredients of animal origin: meat, dairy products, eggs and others. However, modern animal living conditions, diet and overall treatment leads to the deterioration of animal products quality, and it directly influences the human health. Thus, the food animals should not be raised as plants - got in, grew, killed - they deserve good living conditions.

Almost everybody knows a saying by Hippocrates - you are what you eat. It was explained from a wide variety of viewpoints, and there is only one explanation reflecting the essence of modern eating habits: eating well equals doing well, eating bad results in poor health. People are said to buy good quality meat or dairies, and, as a result, eat good food. However, nobody even thinks of tracing the way meat gets onto the supermarket shelves. Nobody knows that corn and soybeans are the modern food animal nutrition, instead of ordinary green grass. This leads to the unexpected consequences. For example, today the amount of meat infected with salmonella bacteria is rapidly growing; people, mostly children, are dying from E. coli infection of various types almost every day, and it is terrifying. In addition, animals are raised too fast: a modern chicken achieves doubled size of an ordinary chicken for exactly same period. Animals are so fat that they hardly can make a few steps. What could be meant by healthy diet if the quality of products is initially unhealthy?

Humanity tends to change the processes established by nature centuries ago. As a result, we have environmental pollution, various diseases development and changing climate. People think they are making life more comfortable, but the results of these comforts are not always good. This definitely is the case with modern food. As it was said earlier, most of the animals are fed by corn or soybeans, which dislocate their usual nutrition process. Actually, this is a kind of mutation. This mutation produces new acid-resistance bacteria, which is dangerous for human health. At the same time, cows and pigs raised traditional way do not have such problems. Thus, the growing processes being the same as created by nature or at least as close as it may be ensures the health and comfort of an animal, and, as a result, a human being.

Finally, even prisoners, who are sentenced to death, have the last dinner - they may ask whatever they want to eat. Farm animals are raised for death; they initially have a death warrant. Perhaps, it would be ethical to create good conditions for them at least from the viewpoint of morality. Most of the people prefer not to think how and where from meat gets to their tables. However, the truth is inevitable: a steak was a living creature once. Therefore, creating good living conditions and humane slaughtering for human supporters food animals is a sign of respect.

In conclusion, food animals provide construction materials for human formation. One can say with certainty that human health is dependent for the most part on the nutrition. Thus, the quality of this nutrition directly influences human well-being. Products of animal origin are the most frequent product people eat. Therefore, the animals well-being, their living conditions and slaughtering should be controlled and structured to fit their needs. In the end, it is beneficial for both animals and humans.
