If we have players that stay in Standard, separating them from OSRS gold seasonal gamers (after already splitting us from rs3 players) will cause such a massive split between inhabitants. Honestly it would work out okay if exprates are upped in this manner since I (and I could imagine lots of different gamers ) are not even maxed on our mains yet so the stuff we're doing there might be performed on the character that we have enjoyed improving over a long time period. D3/PoE also have various classes to master too which increases the replayability, OSRS does not really have anything near that.
While I can't say it my cup of tea, I will see how this might appeal to some. My concern is to that which other spin-off game modes have endured from similar. Rather than concentrating on making competitive content for part of the core game experience that truly demonstrates concise examples of participant ability, it appears to be another focus on who has the least"life" can spend time in the repetitive method.
Hopefully you have got some fine layouts for it planned so that it doesn't just feel like that, but in the present time based off of the last few years of OSRS spin off modes, I'm a little wary. That and I don't like the idea of pushing in game benefits through a game style that is different. These types of things must stand up on their own 2 legs without relying on pressuring folks to play in a way they don't want to or would not enjoy for the promise of reward in their routine account back in RuneScape.

For this to work you need to cover the bad habits of gamers. Players for penalizing those with jobs and lost sleep is a deadly flaw. If its cool! One thing we'll be offering is tiered benefits, ranging from Bronze tier to Dragon grade. The tier depends on your performance from the League. Players who can play for longer will have more chance, confident, but with all the League being open for so long, and rewards being offered to everybody who plays, there's definitely not the exact same pressure that Deadman needed in relation to playtime.
Skilling competitions are the least attractive element of RuneScape for me, developing an aspect of RuneScape I do not care about seems a entire waste of time BUT maybe some people may enjoy it. Honestly why touch on matters like this till it's possible to deliver group ironman and slayer COOP overhaul, thats something the community wants, and I understand its awaiting engine work, but with so many projects shelved due to the motor, and the firm being a rampant financial achievement, why not seem to expand the small engine team which seems to be a major bottleneck?
