It was said that weapons may have distinct looks and abilities

I am very excited forPSO2 Meseta this upgrade. I simply don't like our levels will be reset. For someone who just started this year with NA, like me, it actually hinders my urge to keep progressing my character in the edition of PSO2 we have now. I do not mind leveling a new personality and whatnot, but when we're keeping weapons and components we actually need to learn how they'll be taken over. I would love to get a couple of good sets of equipment to use at the start but it would be... unfortunate should they nerfed a 13 celebrity weapon to a 3 star or something comparable. I really could see a 13 falling to a 12 or 11, possibly even 10 star with valid reasoning and sufficient new gear to locate. However, greater than that would be absurd. And if affixes aren't taken over it puts a hamper on attempting to affix items to be good gear. Might as well just slap a few decent ones on there for reduced cost and wait until NG comes out to see how they do affixing in it.

They talk in vague terms about stats, affixes, and abilities changing. I wouldn't be surprised when they took away lots of the mill and other upgrades players have put in their equipment so that veterans have less of an advantage over new players. They may also make completely new abilities that produce the transport equipment less applicable. Hard to say. They did say that we might not meet the requirements of their transfer equipment for a while after starting NGS, so clearly it will not move over as level 1 equipment. I don't believe we ought to set our expectations too high though. I will assume transfer equipment will either be mid-game equipment or require a lot of updates to be end-game equipment unless they say otherwise.

It was said that weapons may have distinct looks and abilities, and may be over your level/ability to use at first. Components aren't likely to get any cosmetics, but still have stats, not exactly the same though. No reference of grind, affixes, or camos.

My guess is that weapons/units carrying overbuy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta means cosmetically only.
