Why Races Are Important?
In the Wrath from the Lich King Phase 3, races haven't been more crucial for success in PVE and PVP environments. Were skeptical. The worlds top guild recently underwent an entire race switch to gain that extra competitive edge.
But before we discuss the best races, we have to discuss your goals. Would you like to clear the content and enjoy yourself with your friends? Then, you dont have to re-roll a race change shortly. But if youre seriously interested in min-maxing, race must be considered.
Number Five: Dwarf
If Stoneform continues to be just so great in arenas, having the ability to clear all of the Poison, Disease, and Bleeding effects covers most of the annoying classes, like Rogues, Feral Druids, and Death Knights.
The serious problem, though, is the fact that only 26 of the top 100 arena players play those classes. This is a Warrior and Paladin expansion and unfortunately, they dont spread a lot of diseases. That said, you need to get a 10% Armor bonus for 8 seconds, which scales late into Wrath. Thats ideal for bulking up as those Warriors smack you with Shadowmourne.
Number Four: Orc
Orc just appears to never go away like a top option for PVE and PVP. I mean the 15% stun reduction isnt as nice as actually resisting stun in TPC, but it continues to be noticeable in PVP.
An ax specialization is available in a clutch using the five bonus expertise. That makes Orcs arguably the very best Shadowmourne holders hanging around in classes like Warriors. But were just for Blood Fury.
Number Three: Night Elf
Night Elves do gain some nice passives like Quickness, which cuts down on the chance youll get hit by 2%. But the real draw here's Shadowmeld, where do I even start? This ability is so good at PVP.
Number Two: Human
The Human race Will to Survive may be the single strongest race hanging around. It works the same as a PVP Trinket, to help you free up a slot for just about any number of broken and overpowered Trinkets. Of course, this is way better in PVP, but there are many CCs in PVE you can break too.
Number One: Troll
Troll just offers the very best race in Phase 3. Thats evidenced by 17 from the fastest 20 guilds on the planet being Horde at this time. Several from the top speed running guilds like Progress completely race change just to obtain a bigger fringe of PVE.
Could it be that players are actually re-rolling for Da Voodoo Shuffle filled with a 15% reduction to movement speed and impairing effects or possibly its Beast Slaying, the 5% damage increase versus Beast?
