It should be mentioned that characters are shared between them too - you will be able toPhantasy Star Online 2 Meseta use them in both PSO2 and NG. How are characters shared, exactly? If"character development will not carry over", that seems like you may have a character with the same name in both matches, but I would not call that shared. That is exactly what they said. I'm assuming you get to maintain your character name, appearance, weapons, units, and mag. They haven't mentioned anything about cosmetics yet that has some people concerned.
The only reason I'm in a position to confidently say this is what it is, is because throughout the initial CBT on xbox insiders they had a very wonky translation when employing a ticket that said something along the lines of"Are you certain you wish to register this data?" My friends I have been creating"enroll that information" jokes anytime one of us gets a decorative we desired. Shit like..."Oh, you go register that data." So I'm 98% certain this is what they mean when they say registered information, which would imply those people attempting to hoard cosmetic tickets in the hopes of selling them NGS won't work as merely registered things will transfer over.
So which means outerwear and outfits will not move? That is still a massive fuck you to NA players that spent money and nobody must scratch anymore to be fair... We do know we can bring over firearms and units, so they could handle outfits/outerwear exactly the exact same manner. We do see old Ash running along with his old outfit at the trailer. The footage they showed of The Placeholder Otherwise called Ash has him sporting his signature default Close Quarters outfit. It's still no difficult confirmation, but technically that'd mean he took him to NGS. FWIW that outfit is also available as basewear in JP so it is even more unclear... but yeah I would bet a solid 10k meseta on outfits and outerwear additionally moving. This way the game has the primary core aspects players anticipate but is fresh and new at precisely the same time. I think that it's still likely to be instanced and not open world. Gameplay shown up to now has revealed 8 participant instance maxes. This would not break current AI systems, thinking about the existing AI just follow your path or teleport to you if they get stuck. The world is huge and open, but everything out of cities was instanced. I'm thinking it will be a similar approach to what Dragon's Dogma Online had. The world is open and huge, but everything out of cities was instanced. They watered down the climbing to a formula and changed a bunch of classes but now that it's gone I always want to play with it.
I'd absolutely love Dragon's Dogma Online-styled encounters in Phantasy Star if because it gives us a reason tocheap meseta pso2learn more about the world (or at least fast travel to it to hop in and out) and to also have a struggle with all the bosses and enemies.
