Elden Ring DLC, Shadow From The Erdtree, Continues To Be ConfirmedElden Ring DLC
In a tweet this morning, developer FromSoftware announced "an upcoming expansion" that's "currently in development." An attached image shows an extinguished Erdtree, having a lone estimate of the distance standing among an area of spectral gravestones. In a separate Tweet, FromSoftware's account also announced the DLC, having a message (translated via Twitter, suggesting that "the follow-up report continues to be a little ahead.
" That shows that we're not getting any details at this time, but more information is en route. I'm no expert on Elden Ring lore, but it is interesting to take a position around what that imagery might inform us about where we're. That's clearly torrent within the foreground, but I'm not confident concerning the figure with him; taking a look at her hair, I'd guess Fia.
That could point to the expansion happening after the Age from the Duskborn ending; the Deathbed Companion is fairly relevant to that conclusion towards the game, which sees a harrowing fog return the cycle of mortality to The Lands Between. That's purely speculation on my small part, and I'm sure lots of other theories are now being crafted as I type this.
I've already seen one theory that shows that figure is Melina, as well as Miquella. The surprise confirmation continues to be emphatically well-received, especially after disappointment in a lack of DLC announcement throughout the game's anniversary event a week ago.
